I initially thought that all parts in the i.MX RT 1000 series had single- and double-precision floating point units (FPU). But, it turns out the 1010 only has a single-precision FPU! The double-precision FPU first appears in the 1015 family and continus through the 1020, 1040, 1050, and 1060 families.
Reflections on imxrt-hal (2024)

I released version 0.5 of imxrt-hal around two years ago. The release produced a package interface that didn't exclusively favor embedded-hal. It also exposes the low-level details of the hardware to the user. Questions about this design decision came up this time last year and again last week.
RT1180 bringup: low-power peripherals

We're adding support for the i.MXRT1180 in the imxrt-rs project, and we'd like to re-use as many drivers as we can from imxrt-hal. The SVDs for the 1180 describe differences in the LPSPI, LPI2C, and LPUART peripherals. How does that affect the drivers we're using on other i.MXRT MCUs?
